- Team Development: Effective teams combine the power of group process,
shared responsibility, team learning, and mutually supportive team
members and work processes to create synergies that would not exist in
traditional structures. The CPS Team Development
Process is designed to ensure that teams receive the level of guidance,
direction,
and support they need to succeed.
- Process Improvement Through Teamwork:
It is our belief that the most effective team development occurs in the
context of doing real work. That is, rather than separating the training in
team skills from the jobs to which those skills will need to be applied, it is
far better to incorporate the two activities. CPS facilitates a
process that is focused on results.
- Strategic Planning: CPS works with the
organization's leadership to facilitate planning at the organizational level
and to plan and coordinate the meaningful involvement of employees at all
operational levels. One key to strategic planning is to look beyond the obvious in order to see other far
more important, but less visible, issues. "Fresh eyes" can often
help discover these hidden factors.
- Organizational Change Initiatives:
Today's business environment requires almost constant change. CPS
helps facilitate significant change processes to help your organization's
leaders maximize the benefits (and minimize the costs) of your specific
situation.
- Employee Surveys: All surveys are conducted in a way that provides
total confidentiality and participant anonymity. CPS utilizes descriptive
"anchored response sets" rather than open, numerical scales to give greater
validity and reliability to the results. All results are reported in both
quantitative and graphical formats and allow for such demographic comparisons
as department, job classification, years of services, etc.
- Coaching
Processes and Programs: Some people would suggest that
management IS coaching, and yet, in many organizations coaching is left to
individual managers to do (or not do) as they choose. CPS
can help your organization create a culture of coaching or one
of our experienced managers can provide coaching on an individual basis for
one or more of your executives.
- 360 Feedback Process: The CPS
"Omega Profiles" process provides
managers with feedback that guides their improvement process in specific,
constructive ways. The emphasis is on the process. The process as well
as the dimensions and items used in the survey are fully adaptable to the
needs and circumstances of your organization. A full 360-degree survey process
solicits feedback from the focal manager's line senior, direct reports, peers,
and the manager himself/herself. The reports provide a "zoom lens" from a
macro overview of the survey results through detailed information on individual items within
dimensions. In this way, the focal manager can quickly identify areas needing
improvement and begin to develop specific strategies for improvement.
